Twenty-Sixth Sunday - Year A

Enrolment Mass at 9am

Today at the 9am Mass we welcome in a special way the children of P3 and P4 who are preparing for the reception of the Sacraments this year, together with their parents and families. Please keep the children especially in your prayers as they begin this important year in their lives.

The Red Mass at 12 noon

Then at 12 noon we welcome members of the legal profession to the annual Red Mass in which we ask for God’s assistance for all those who administer the justice sytem in our country. The Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency, Archbishop Edward Adams, Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain who is on his first visit to Edinburgh since his appointment.

The Young Adults’ Group at 7.30pm this Wednesday

This Wednesday the Group will meet at the slightly later time of 7.30pm for a Holy Hour in the Cathedral. The Service will be led by Fr. Patrick and there will be an opportunity for confessions during the Hour. Afterwards we will head to the pub as usual. All under-35’s are very welcome.

Farewell to Sr Mary Julian and Welcome to Sr. Mary Cora

As you know, after a year working here in the Parish, Sr. Mary Julian will leave us this Friday to return to Australia to take up an academic post as a Lecturer in Philosophy. Her short sojorn here with us has been a great blessing for the parish and we wish her well as she begins this new stage of her life. We will miss her very much and hope that one day she will at least return to visit us again. On Tuesday, Sr. Mary Cora will arrive to take over from Sr. Mary Julian. I know that you will all make her very welcome.
