Transfiguration of the Lord - Year A

Welcome to our brand new website - we hope you regularly visit to find out the news and events at the Cathedral, wherever you are in the world!

Cathedral Fatima Group

The Fatima Group will join the Rosary Group on the 13th of each month at 12 noon in the Lady Aisle, until November, to pray to Rosary before the statue of Our Lady of Fatima as recommended by Pope Francis. This act, during the centenary year of the apparitions at Fatima, can gain for participants a plenary indulgence, with the usual conditions of receiving Communion, making a confession and praying for the Pope’s intentions.

International Students – host families

Academic Families is an agency looking after international students who attend Scottish boarding schools. Students stay in boarding school throughout the term, however during the leave out weekends (two per term) and half terms many choose not to go home to their home countries but stay with the local host families. The agency is now seeking host families for students coming from Mexico and Spain who are Catholic and would like to attend Mass with their host families. Expenses are reimbursed. Café Camino

We made the difficult decision last week to close Café Camino. It was not an easy or a quick decision – but it was a unanimous decision of the Parish Council based on the most recent management figures provided to us by our accountants. The café will now be closed while the Parish Council makes a full assessment of how we move forward and how best we can utilise this very valuable space and resource for the good of the parish community.

God bless you all,
Fr Patrick, Fr. Nick, Deacon Peter and Sr. Mary Julian
