Twenty-Ninth Sunday - Year A

Parish Pilgrimage to Rome

We have had a great deal of interest in the proposed pilgrimage to Rome from 11-15 June to celebrate Patrick Harrigan’s ordination to the diaconate. There will be an information evening for all those interested – even those who didn’t put their name down – on Monday 30th October at 7pm in the hall, where booking forms will be available. If you are unable to be at the meeting but would like a form, please be in touch with Sr Mary Cora at the office.

Young Adults’ Group

The series on the Ten Commandments continues this Wednesday at 7pm in the Cafe. Sr Mary Pierre Jean Wilson, RSM will speak on a detachment from possessions and worldliness (the tenth commandment). There will be night prayer and a chance to socialise in the pub afterwards. All under-35’s welcome.

Marking the 50th Anniversary of the Abortion Act

Friday 27th October marks the 50th Anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act in Britain. Since then 8 million abortions have taken place in this country. To mark this tragic annniversary we will offer the 12.45 Mass on the 27th for all victims of abortion. The Mass will be followed by a short period of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, finishing at 1.30pm with an Act of Reparation.

God bless you all this week, Fr Patrick, Fr Nick, Deacon Peter and Sr Mary Cora RSM
